For the sake of transparency, here are a few things you should know.

Affiliate Links

“We are a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for us to earn fees by linking to and affiliated sites.”

I am also a participant in Grammarly's affiliate program. I use this service all the time myself, and I think that good grammar is worth promoting!

Affiliate links help me offset the cost of providing this content to you. I won't link to things that I don't like or wouldn't personally use.

All images are either taken by me or acquired through the Creative Commons. Where attribution is required, it has been noted in the captions for that image.

Leslie McKellar took the photo that I use for my social media accounts.

Written Content

The posts that I write are entirely my own. If you see similar content at other sites, this is purely coincidental and not intentional. I am a stickler about plagiarism. I believe in giving credit where it's due, which is why I'll link to other sites generously. If you want to reference something I've said, please be kind and share a link to my website! Please do not pass my words off as your own-- that is IP theft, it's not nice, and I will find out about it.

Privacy Policy

This site does use Google Analytics to track website use. This helps me understand which pieces of content are most popular, how long people are staying on the site, and whether I'm doing an effective job at providing useful information. From these analytics, I am able to determine what country my readers come from, but I can't view their precise location or personal identification.

This site also makes use of affiliate marketing. Affiliate links typically operate through cookies. If you click on an affiliate link on my website, then a third party service (such as Amazon) can see that you were referred by my website.

When you submit the form on the "Contact Me" page, I receive your message and respond to it. I am not compiling these into a mailing list (and if that changes, I will make it clear), and I will never distribute identifying information such as your name or email to anyone.
